Information Visitors Submit
Search entries
A name or location typed into the search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Stephens County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own servers through the widget.
Messages and requests
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the message and reply details are kept long enough to respond, maintain a useful correspondence, and address a follow-up. They are not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal order.
Technical Data and Cookies
Normal page delivery can produce technical records. Depending on the hosting, analytics, and security services in use, those records may include:
- Internet Protocol address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages visited and time spent on each page.
- Referring page or site, when supplied.
- Request timestamps and basic diagnostic events.
Cookie choices
Cookies or similar storage can help measure how visitors use the pages, keep a preference, or support a partner feature. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Some functions may behave differently when they are blocked.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports ordinary operation and service improvement. Uses can include:
- Keeping the pages available, secure, and reasonably fast.
- Routing a search request to the provider that supplies the search tool.
- Learning which public-record topics are useful to visitors.
- Finding errors, abuse, outages, and other technical problems.
- Showing advertising that may be relevant to general interests.
Links to Other Services
The pages link to the county sheriff page, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, the county-data roster, Toccoa Police, Georgia courts, the Georgia Department of Corrections, federal locators, news outlets, and third-party research tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy policy and data practices apply. Stephens County Busted Mugshots does not control the destination’s collection, retention, security, or uptime.
Advertising partners may use their own technologies to measure activity across sites or tailor advertising. That tracking occurs on the partner’s systems under its own notice, not under a promise that this domain controls every outside service.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold by this service as a standalone mailing list. Information may be available to the following categories when needed for the stated purpose:
- Search partners that process a submitted search request.
- Analytics and hosting providers that help operate the pages.
- Advertising networks and measurement partners.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order or lawful request.
Security Limits
Reasonable operational and security practices are used for information under the operator’s control. No internet-connected system is completely secure, and no promise can be made that a transmission, account, or stored message will be breach-proof. Visitors should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive details through an ordinary message.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, a parent or guardian may use the Get in Touch page to request review or deletion of that submission.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity checks, a visitor may ask about information held in connection with a message or direct interaction. Available requests can include:
- A copy of personal information held about the requester.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion of information that is no longer needed or lawfully required.
- Withdrawal or limitation of certain processing where applicable.
Requests can be sent through Get in Touch. A search query handled directly by a partner may need to be addressed to that partner.
Changes to This Notice
This notice may change as the service, vendors, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date or a clear update indication. Continued use after an update means the revised practices apply to later use.
