This is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, pull an official booking file, or change a court record. For an official answer, contact the sheriff, jail, police department, corrections office, court, or federal locator that holds the record.
Where to Ask for a Stephens Record
Choose the office by record type. A Toccoa police report, a Stephens jail booking sheet, and a court disposition are separate records and may require separate requests.

Which Office Holds What
The home page has the full search sequence. These short routes help direct a question to the right custodian.
- For a current Stephens jail status, use the county-data roster and call the jail at 706-886-2514 when confirmation matters.
- For a booking sheet or original electronic booking photo, send a focused request to SCSO Records with full name, date of birth, date, agency, and case or warrant number if known.
- For a Toccoa incident or arrest report, contact Toccoa Police at 92 N. Alexander Street, Toccoa, GA 30577, 706-282-3244. Regular business and report-copy hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; dispatch is 706-779-3911.
- For a Toccoa ordinance, traffic, or qualifying misdemeanor case, start with Recorder’s Court. State and superior case routing begins through Georgia Courts eAccess.
- For a state-prison record or photo, use the GDC offender query. It does not cover every county arrest.
- For a federal or immigration custody question, use the BOP locator or ICE locator as appropriate.
Request Details and Fees
SCSO’s published request information cites O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71. The first fifteen minutes of qualifying research are free, later research may use the lowest-paid capable employee’s hourly rate, and the posted copy or print charge is $0.10 per page. SCSO asks requesters to allow at least three business days for research. Ask for a current estimate and electronic delivery. The amount is not a special photo fee and the research time is not a guaranteed delivery date.
A request should identify existing records rather than ask the agency to create a new report. If a record is withheld or no longer retained, ask the custodian for the statutory basis or retention explanation.
Nonemergency and Tip Contacts
The SCSO Crime Suppression Unit lists 706-886-7048 for tips. Toccoa Police lists 706-898-5707 and a confidential tip form. Neither is for an emergency. Call 911 for immediate danger. A warrant question belongs with SCSO and the relevant court. A tip line cannot provide a complete case disposition.
What This Service Can Answer
Questions about how to navigate the public source set can be sent through the channel supplied with the service, but official agencies must answer questions about custody, release, charges, booking photographs, warrants, and court outcomes. A response here cannot replace the originating office. An arrest or booking photo is an accusation or custody record, not a conviction.
